LD-1000 Air Dryer

Overview  |   Features & Benefits   |   Lowest Life-Cycle Costs

Brakes on heavy haul freight trains depend on reliable and high quality compressed air to ensure the safety and performance of the whole system under all operating conditions.

Water vapor saturates compressed air. As the temperature drops, from day to night for example, some of that vapor condenses into liquid water. If the overnight temperature swings from above freezing to below, the liquid freezes and brake incidents can increase.

The air dryer you can depend on to deliver clean, dry compressed air
The LD-1000 air treatment unit is a state-of-the-art air dryer that removes oil, oil aerosols, water, water vapor and dirt particles from compressed air systems on heavy haul freight locomotives reliably, even in extreme temperatures. View animation to see how the unit works.

The LD-1000 air dryer, with best-in-class life-cycle costs, provides dry, clean air that increases the availability of the entire train system.
