TMB-60

Overview   |   Features & Benefits

TMB-60 is the most robust truck mounted brake in the industry with unique Engineered to Outperform (E2O) features that extend operation in service and reduce maintenance and downtime.

Leverage strongest and lightest beams
TMB-60 uses the strongest available premium #28 (28,000 lb.) cast beams in a patented design that decreases bending loads in the beams, enabling a lighter car configuration with superior performance. The proprietary parallelogram structure improves efficiency and aligns braking forces with the wheels, which reduces shoe and wheel wear.

Make installation simple
TMB-60 is rugged and lightweight with fewer components, making installation more cost-effective and easier in any configuration or cylinder positioning without additional parts.

Fit any truck
TMB-60 push rods are positioned under the bolster and can be configured to work with all truck designs, unlike through-bolster designs that depend on proper size and location of bolster openings to function properly. The direct acting system does not require levers or reverse direction devices.

Replace brake heads easily
TMB-60 brake heads can be removed and replaced without disassembling the truck, a unique feature that reduces maintenance required. Watch the TMB-60 video to see how easy brake head replacement is.

Enhance efficient braking performance
The TMB-60 integral compression slack adjuster self regulates to maintain a consistent 2-1/4” piston stroke that results in uniform, efficient braking performance even as wheels and shoes wear. Save time on every installation with no need to measure and manually adjust a slack adjuster.
